Dr. Hadzri graduated from University of Cardiff, United Kingdom in 1999. He obtained his specialist qualification in 2006 from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and started working as a lecturer with International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). He completed his specialty training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology under the Ministry of Health Specialty and Fellowship Training in 2014, with several attachment at Malaysia public and teaching hospitals, as well as Kindai University Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, Osaka-sayama, Osaka, Japan and Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, Australia. Besides completing his specialty training, Dr. Hadzri has been appointed Associate Professor in 2009 by the university and subsequently appointed as Head of Department of Internal Medicine, Kulliyyah of Medicine, IIUM in 2012. During his fellowship training and attachment, Dr. Hadzri was awarded the prestigious Japanese Society of Gastroenterology (JSGE) Research Fellowship Program Award and the Asia Pacific Gastroenterology/Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (APAGE/JGH) Foundation Clinician-Scientist Training Fellowship Award.
Dr. Hadzri is active in research and has published over two dozen peer-reviewed academic papers and presenting oral and poster presentation in conferences in the field of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He also has supervised post-graduate students who have completed the Master programme in Internal Medicine under the university.
He is currently a Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Kuantan Medical Centre, Kuantan.
