Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has significantly affected the global economy, healthcare systems, and our everyday life. Liver transplantation has been also influenced by COVID-19, resulting in a decrease in transplant activity. The effect of COVID-19 on LT is still not completely understood. Therefore, three major hepatology societies [American Association for the Study of Liver (AASLD), the European Association for the Study of Liver (EASL), and the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of Liver (APASL)] provide recommendations for healthcare providers and those requiring liver transplantation. These recommendations include COVID-19 infection test for donor and transplant candidates, immunosuppressive drug, vaccination for COVID-19 and treatment. Therefore, we summarize the recommendations forpre- and post-transplant managements to prevent COVID-19 transmission and for COVID-19 vaccination.
