Population wide CRC screening is expanding in Asia, with more jurisdiction offering funding for fecal occult blood and colonoscopy after positive FIT results. However the uptake of CRC screening has much room for improvement. Perceived severity of CRC, family physician’s recommendation and financial considerations are the main factors for acceptance and adherence to CRC screening. Social media may be useful to enhance on CRC screening uptake and improve longitudinal adherence of tests. WhatApps reminding of FIT has been shown to be useful (Lam et al. Cancer 2020). On the other hand, Japanese Polyp Study has shown that surveillance of colonic polyp following the world-wide trend (WGO guideline) is valid and safe in Asia (Matsuda et al. Gut 2021)
