Rapat Pittayanon, MD., is an associate professor of faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University and Gastrointestinal Excellence Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. She graduated from Chulalongkorn University and received another Master degree in medicine and experimental surgery from McGill University, Canada. She also completed a postgraduate program in systematic review and guideline development from McMaster University in 2018. She provides a teaching for medical students, residency training, and gastrointestinal fellows training at Chulalongkorn University and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. She has been conducting the researching in diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastrointestinal (GI) diseases including gastric premalignant lesion, gastric cancer, upper GI bleeding, etc. Currently, she has nearly 50 publications which mostly stated as the first author in peer review medical journal and has earned H-index at 16. She contributes to the academic research by being a reviewer of various journals. She has received many rewards including Reviewer Award of Endoscopy International Open Journal in 2020 and the latest 2021 Ken Heaton Most Cited Manuscript Award from Rome Foundation. She is also mentoring junior researcher and staffs in these fields whose works received the recognition from many academic conference.
