Dr. Hoe graduated from University of Science Malaysia in 2001. He obtained membership in Royal Colleges of Physicians United Kingdom in 2007 and further pursued fellowship training in Gastroenterology at Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah, Alor Setar and Hospital Selayang.
After completed his fellowship training in 2014, he subsequently served as a consultant gastroenterologist at Hospital Pulau Pinang and head the gastroenterology unit there. He was a member of Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Programme of the Ministry of Health. He is now working as a consultant gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Hospital Gleneagles Penang.
He has been very active in research. He has published research papers in peer reviewed journals and many presentations in national gastroenterology conferences. He is also honorary lecturer for Royal College of Surgeons Ireland & University College Dublin Malaysia Campus.
Dr Hoe has keen interest on Helicobacter pylori, viral hepatitis B and C, non alcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatocellular carcinoma and vast experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
