Dr. Matsuda is Professor of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Toho University Omori Medical Center, Tokyo, Japan. He is licensed as a Professional Status of the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES), the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology (JSGE), the Japanese Gastroenterological Association (JGA) and the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine. In addition, he is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the Japanese Cancer Association (JCA) and the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Cancer Screening (JSGCS). He is a chief conductor of the Japan Polyp Study (a multicenter, randomized controlled trial in Japan). His research interests lie in colorectal cancer screening, post-polypectomy surveillance, endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of early colorectal cancer and image-enhanced endoscopy.
