Bangladeshi national, graduated (MBBS) in 1987 from Chittagong Medical College. Awarded FCPS ( Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeon) in 1993 from Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeon and MD in 1998 from Dhaka University. Also awarded FRCP in 2018 from RCPE. Working as Secretary General of Bangladesh Gastroenterology Society since 2008 and Founder General Secretary of Gastroliver foundation since 2010. As a new and evolving specialty in Bangladesh played a vital and pioneering role in organizing GI specialty in different government medical colleges. Played vital role in establishing links with GI facilities of different regional countries , BSG and Swansea Medical Board etc. First time introduced formal hands on training on different GI endoscopies in collaboration with BSG and AIG India, MedIndia hospitals, India. Has more than 30 publications in national and international journals. Guided more than 30 theses. Worked in different capacities of GI discipline for about 25 years. Founder of Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital and now working as founder director of the institute, a 250 bedded modern GI institute with all facilities but LT.
