Ashok Choudhury MD DM is Assoc. Prof of Hepatology and Liver transplantation at Institute of Liver and Biliary Science (ILBS) New Delhi, India. He is a transplant hepatologist and a clinician- researcher focused on liver failure, liver cancer (HCC), sepsis and liver transplant using both pre-clinical and translational studies. He received the Best abstract and fellow research award by American Association of Liver Disease (AASLD) in 2014 at Boston. His noble concept of Golden window for SIRS and sepsis in ACLF was highly appreciated. His work on ACLF to define the timing for transplantation appreciated at International Liver Transplant Society (ILTS) in 2016; Seoul Korea as Young Investigator Award. Also derivation of a prognostic model and web based real time score for ACLF has been considered for the Young Investigator Award in the Asia Pacific Association for Study of Liver (APASL) 2017 at Shanghai. His model on Liver transplant was presented recently at American Association of Liver Disease (AASLD) in 2019. He is currently coordinating the APASL ACLF Research Consortium (AARC) on behalf of APASL ACLF working party, the largest multicentre research project across Asia. To his credit, nearly 75 research papers including one in Nature and other high impact journals, also academic editor for the international journal JCTH and peer reviewer in more than 10 journals.
