Dr. Shu Chen Wei graduated from the Institute of Clinical Medicine from the National Taiwan University in 2004, and received the research fellowship training in Dr. Podolsky’s Lab (GI Unit, MGH, Boston) from 2006 to 2008. She was the Best Resident of the Department of Internal Medicine, National Taiwan University Hospital, from 1993-1997, also the Best Attending Physician of National Taiwan University, College of Medicine, in 2002. She has got the Scholarship for PhD student, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, Academia Sinica, Taiwan, in 1999; Young Clinician Award of World Congress of Gastroenterology in 2002; Outstanding Article Award of Gastroenterological Society of Taiwan in 2003; Outstanding Article Award of Prof. Juei-Low Sung’s Research Foundation in 2005; Taiwan Merit Scholarship-Ministry of Education (2006 Jul- 2007 Jun) and Taiwan Merit Scholarship-National Science Council (2007 Jul- 2008 Jun). Her research interest includes colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease, and more shifted to IBD in recent years. Dr. Wei served as the Secretary General for the TSIBD (Taiwan Society of IBD) from 2014 to 2019, the Secretary General of the 7th AOCC meeting in 2019. She is currently the Executive Director of TSIBD, the representative of Taiwan for AOCC, and also as the governing board member of AOCC.
