Stephan Vavricka occupied until 2017 the position as Head of the Division, Gastroenterology and Hepatology inTriemli Hospital, Zurich, Switzerland. Since then he founded the center of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in Zurich and works there as CMO. His post doctorate positions at University Hospital Zurich included chief resident and research fellow in Division of Gastroenterology, resident in Division of Haematology, Internal Medicine as well as chief resident in Division of Gastroenterology at University Hospital Basel. He also worked as a research fellow at The Martin Boyer Laboratories, University of Chicago, IBDResearch Center. He works closely with different national and international research groups on projects related to inflammatory bowel disease
