Nonthalee Pausawasdi
Nonthalee Pausawasdi received her M.D. degree from Thailand and completed her postdoctoral research training, internal medicine residency, G.I. fellowship, and advanced endoscopy fellowship training at the University of Michigan, USA. She is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Currently, she is the President of the Thai Association for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (TAGE). Also, she is the program director for the WGO endoscopy training program at Siriraj Endoscopy Center in Bangkok, Thailand, the treasurer for the Asian EUS Group (AEG), and a co-founder of the Women in Gastrointestinal Network Asia Pacific (WIGNAP). She has been working with many endoscopy societies and international organizations, including the World Gastroenterological Organization (WGO), the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO), the Asian EUS Group (AEG), the Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Taskforce Asian Pacific (GI-TAP), and the Asia-Pacific Society of Digestive Endoscopy (A-PSDE) in improving the quality of endoscopy training in the underserved areas worldwide. She serves as a member of the editorial boards for many reputed journals. Her clinical and research interest is in the area of ERCP, EUS, and endoscopic treatment for upper GI bleeding. Her research covers diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP for biliary obstruction, pancreatic cystic neoplasms, and therapeutic EUS.
