Krish Ragunath
Professor Ragunath has been a clinical academic over the last 2 decades with a track record in the field of Barrett's oesophagus, GI cancer and endoscopic management. He had established an internationally recognised centre of excellence in GI oncology and Endoscopic Research at the Nottingham University Hospital, UK, prior to his recent move to Curtin University and Royal Perth Hospital. He currently chairs the World Endoscopy Organisation Research committee promoting high quality research globally. His achievements include highly cited publications in top journals such as Lancet, Nature Genetics, JAMA, PLOS, Gut and Gastroenterology. He has made significant contributions with high impact publications contributing to national and international guidelines. He is the Associate Editor of the Digestive Endoscopy journal and serves in the international editorial board of the American and European Endoscopy journals. He is a regular invited faculty for many National and International Gastroenterology conferences such as DDW, UEGW, AGW and APDW. Other academic laurels include, BSG Endoscopy Hopkins Prize 2010 (highest academic endoscopy award in the UK), Professor Anne Ferguson lecture and medal at the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh 2017, conferred Fellowship of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy 2012 and Japanese Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Society 2019.
